Cecelia Wheeler is a writer and director from Seattle, Washington. A recent graduate of Columbia University’s Film MFA program, her thesis short film received support from Indian Paintbrush and the Cascadia International Women’s Film Festival, and her feature screenplay won the Sloan Screenplay Award. She is interested in creating characters who want to be bigger than themselves, contrasting small moral dilemmas against the grandeur of nature, and finding the strange moments of optimism and tenderness that erupt under strain.
